Dear Parents and Supporters of V Lindsay:

As you know, we are quickly approaching the start of the 2013/2014 school year.  This is a very exciting time for all involved.  For students, it’s their first opportunity to see friends after a long summer; meet their new teacher and classmates; and compare stories of summer adventures.  For parents, it’s when you walk your children to their first day of school, and for staff, it’s a time where you are energized by all the smiling faces awaiting you to educate, inspire and encourage them.  As you and your children return to V Lindsay, please take notice of some of the small steps we have taken to enhance your student’s educational experience at V Lindsay.

At the conclusion of the 2012/2013 school year V Lindsay experienced some personnel changes.  In most cases changes are difficult as we go through them, but after having an opportunity to review the situation, “we realize it wasn’t difficult as we initially thought.”  In addition, we are better off for any adversity experienced and we see the changes yielded positive results.  Last school year V. Lindsay’s educational staff consisted of two full time teachers and a teacher-principal.  This school year we are blessed to have three full-time teachers, a principal and part-time administrative assistant/classroom aide.  Our three teachers and principal are Ms. Darlene Small (Pre-K to K); Ms. Jessica Jacob (Grades 1 to 4); Ms. Donette Wickham (Grades 5-8); and Ms. Judith Mason (superintendent-principal). Our administrative assistant/classroom aide position is in the process of being filled.

I know the team that we have in place at V. Lindsay is more than equipped to challenge and encourage your children to grow spiritually, mentally and physically.  We are honored and pleased that you have entrusted us with your most prized possession, and we will work tirelessly to exceed your expectations.  With your continued support and by the grace of God, there are no boundaries to what we can accomplish.

Please find enclosed with this letter a copy of V. Lindsay’s tuition/registration information; available registration dates and times; a listing of upcoming events such as our Ice Cream Social, New Parent Orientation, First Day of School and upcoming Fundraisers. In addition, a list of dates and times that parents, staff, and supporters of V. Lindsay are encouraged to lend their man/woman power to enhance our facility for the start of the school year.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Christian Education, and I look forward to seeing and working with you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Stephen R. Williams
